About the game
Sudoku is a number puzzle played on 81 cells. Nine rows and nine columns cross to form the board, and every group of three-by-three cells inside it counts as one square. Some cells start with a digit already written in. You fill the rest with numbers from 1 to 9.
Each row, each column and each three-by-three square may hold a given digit only once, so a number you place blocks the same number from the rest of its line and its square. Choose a difficulty before you begin, then click a cell and click the digit you want. The Notes button lets you jot possible numbers in a cell without placing one. Watch out for wrong entries as you go.
How to play
- Click the cell you want to fill, then click a number from 1 to 9.
- Press Notes to mark possible digits in a cell without placing one.
- No digit repeats in a row, a column or a 3x3 square.
- Pick a difficulty level first, and keep an eye out for mistakes.
