Privacy on Poki
How your information is treated on Poki is set out below. Briefly: we never ask for personal details from you, yet the games you launch might process some data on their own.
Data we never gather
Poki offers no profiles, no registration, no forms and no accounts. To play, you never hand over a name, an email address, a phone number or a home address. We never create a personal profile about you, and we never sell data to anyone.
Server logs
As with nearly all websites, our server records routine technical logs each time a page loads. These usually hold the IP address you connect from, the browser and device in use, the visit time and the page requested. We store them for a set period and rely on them solely to keep the site running and safe, for instance to detect attacks or errors. We never use them to identify you personally.
Embedded games and ads
Games on Poki are supplied by independent developers and by a game distribution partner. They load inside a frame on our page. Such games might display ads and might use cookies or similar storage within that frame. That falls under the policies of whoever made or distributes each game, not under ours. Certain games also keep your progress or settings locally in your browser. What a game stores is beyond our control, so for details about a specific game, check the information it shows inside the frame.
Children
Children and teens play Poki, often in pairs on a phone or at an internet cafe. We never knowingly collect personal data from anyone, children included, since we collect no personal data at all. Should you believe a game has asked a child for personal information, write to us and tell us which game and what happened.
Clearing cookies in your browser
Cookies and local storage can be removed at any time from your browser settings. Most browsers follow similar steps:
- Open the browser menu (usually three dots or three lines).
- Find Settings, then Privacy or Site settings.
- Open Cookies and site data, or Clear browsing data.
- Choose the time range and clear the data. On a phone, look for the same options in the browser menu.
Clearing this data may reset saved progress in some games.
